Hello! My name is Betsy Bacon. I am a special education teacher that works with both 1st and 2nd grade, but I love helping all children grow and succeed! My goal is for children and parents to see me as just another teacher in the classroom.
When I'm not at school, I enjoy reading, hiking in the Kettles, crocheting, and going up north with my family to our cabin in Crivitz.
If you need to get in touch with me for any reason, please don't hesitate to send me an email at [email protected].

My name is Mrs. Klecka and I have been a Teacher's Assistant for 10 years in the Plymouth School District. I enjoy co-teaching with Mrs. Gehri. I look forward to bringing new and creative ideas to the classroom setting.
I have been married 27 years to my husband David and I have 3 kids who all went to school at Horizon, Riverview, and then PHS. My son Ryan is 24 and my daughter Hanna is 22. They both live and work in Madison and currently work for the same company! My youngest daughter Elle just turned 21 and is starting her Sophomore year at UW- Oshkosh. In my free time I like to garden, bake, cross country ski, knit, practice yoga and walk my dog. I also like to read on my front porch whenever I get the chance!
If you need to reach me please contact me at [email protected]. I look forward to watching your children learn and grow this year!

My name is Carrie Nickel, and I am a speech-language pathologist working at Horizon Elementary for the past 4 years. I work with kids anywhere from 3 years of age through 4th grade. I spend much of my time in the classrooms, working with teachers and their students. Prior to my career in the Plymouth School District I worked through CESA 7 in the Brillion and Stockbridge School Districts. I feel blessed to have a job I honestly love.
I have lived in Plymouth for the past 10 years with my husband and 3 children. I enjoy camping, biking, hiking, reading and just spending time being a wife and mom when I am not at school.
If you ever have any questions, feel free to contact me Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays at 892-2225 ext. 3532. I can also be reached via e-mail at [email protected]. I wish your child a wonderful 1st grade year and look forward to being a part of it!

My name is Lisa Krzyzaniak, but most students call me "Mrs. K." I have been teaching with the Plymouth School District for 28 years, and have been a reading specialist for the past 8. At Horizon I am lucky enough to be in both kindergarten and first grade classes, helping students take their very first steps as new readers. Such an exciting time! I spend about two hours a day in the classroom working with the students and teachers on various reading strategies.
When I'm not reading a book myself, I enjoy baking, gardening, cheering for the Wisconsin Badgers, scrapbooking and anything crafty. I have two children who also keep me very busy.
I look forward to being in Mrs. Gehri's classroom, spending time with your kiddos as they become better, stronger readers. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to send me an email! I can be reached at [email protected] with any questions or concerns.
